Q. I am currently working on a website consisting of pictures and articles of the ever so popular tattoos and piercings. I have decided to go ahead and use my own materials, you know take all my own pictures because I have the people willing to let me take pictures of their art as we so call it. The big question is, even though they have given me verbal permission to take their pictures and post them on my website, I have decided to try and find some kind of release form for them to sign in case of future problems. What kind of form would I use for something like that considering I am taking the pictures myself?

A. Tattoo models are still models and you want to make money from their images so you need their permission to display and market their pictures. I would imagine a standard model release is in order. I’d also consider getting proof of age verification from your models. The first thing I would do is get a lawyer.
