Q. I found a website where I’m pretty sure they’ve got Child Porn. I’ve only looked at the main page but those models look very young. And the words they use to describe the site are plain disgusting. I want these bastards shut down! What should I do?
A.
First thing you do is remove any and all images you got off that site from your computer. Clear you cache and temporary files and then do it again. Write down the URL of the site in question so you don’t have it in your browser memory. Then go to asacp.org
ASACP is Adult Sites Against Child Pornography. They are authorized to view and report possible CP sites to the FBI. You are not. You can however, report a site- that you feel displays CP- to the ASACP.
Keep in mind that ASACP only deals with web sites. Not newsgroups. Not P2P networks. Not Spam. Also, they require you to provide the actual URL of the page where you saw the possibly illegal content. In other words, not necessarily the main page, but the single page where the image(s) are posted. They also have a FAQ page to help you better understand what you should and should not report.
