Q. I want to open a paysite and everyone tells me I’m a fool. I think they’re just afraid of competition. I have a great idea and all I need are some investors. Tell me I’m not a fool.

A. You’re not a fool. You’re just jumping the gun.

I could be wrong but it seems to me (asking for investors. got a great idea. I’ve heard this before) you’re new at this business. You’re right. The paysite is the most potentially lucrative of all adult sites. When a paysite is run well with killer content and proper marketing, it’s a freeking money tree. There’s a reason for that other than the obvious pay-for-access factor. The reason is that it takes a lot of money and know-how to open and profit from an adult paysite. A few investors and a good idea just aren’t enough to make it happen. You have to know what you’re doing or you’ll lose everything. The cool thing is that once you do figure it all out, you won’t need to depend so much on faddish ideas or outside sources of capitol. You’ll be able to sell anything to anyone. Some webmasters will never open a paysite and they’ll still make mad bling. Learn the ropes or you’ll hang yourself.
