Q. What are the three best adult sponsors and why?

A. First let me say that there are many fine adult sponsorship programs and to highlight just three would be unfair and inaccurate. Unfair because good, stable adult sponsors comprise a number far higher than three. Inaccurate because what works best for one webmaster might not work best for another.

For instance, you have to choose a sponsor who not only offers the type of content you sell best but who also offers a payout program that works best for you. Do you want to be paid just on sign-ups or would you like to be paid for recurring memberships? Some sponsors pay out a higher commission percentage than do others but that lower percentage sponsor might covert to sales more consistently than would the high payer. The type content and payout programs you sign up for determine a lot when choosing an adult sponsor.

It would also be wrong to tell you that a big sponsor is better than a little sponsor is or vice-versa. Big sponsors are advantageous because they’re obviously doing something right. Big sponsors are more likely to survive industry-wide changes such as the issues with VISA. Big sponsors offer more sites to promote and more payout programs to profit from.

On the other hand, a smaller sponsor is probably a niche sponsor and not over-saturated with affiliates. The smaller sponsor isn’t as overburdened as is the bigger sponsor. You’re more likely to receive personal attention faster with a smaller sponsor. Then again, there are no absolutes when it comes to sponsors. You try out some and dump those that aren’t profitable.

Picking a new sponsor is like trying on clothes. What looks good on the hanger doesn’t always look good in the mirror. You have to do what any smart shopper does. You examine the product. Look for holes and tears like inadequate contact information or program information. You find others who use that sponsor and ask how well they hold up under wear. You keep trying until you get it right and never ever depend entirely on one single sponsor.
