    Find Your Gay Spot!

    By Titmowse | Writer @ CozyFrog | MAY.05.2006
Gay is a word that's gone through some changes in the last 50 years. I am old enough to remember when the word simply described a state of happiness. Gay was a Victorian word, an old people's word. Then came the sixties and the word was redefined by the concept of Gay Liberation. Suddenly, this word because synonymous with homosexual pride. The movement adopted the word to show the world that homosexuals and lesbians are here and queer, so get used to it.

"If you're ready to jump into the gay Internet porn market, there's no better way to familiarize yourself with it than by becoming part of the community."
Of course, now the word gay is experiencing another re-definition. People say the word gay as a replacement for the slang weenie or pussy. Some people are offended by this new usage of the word. They see it as a denigration of homosexuals. Others - homosexuals and lesbians included - think the word gay is gay. They see the word as an outmoded term that makes light of a valid lifestyle.

While people might not approve of same-sex pairing, most humans accept the fact that gayness exists. That's a hell of a long way to have come. Just 40 short years ago, homosexuality was a love that dare not speak its name. The Greeks might have practiced it and condoned it but they sure as hell weren't having a worldwide discussion on the possibility of gay marriage. This is the time and these are the things that are happening now.

Gay is a word. Gay is a sexual preference. Gay is wedge issue in governments and families. Gay is a type of online porn.

One can't really refer to gay porn as a niche. Gay porn is a type of porn like hardcore versus softcore. While the market for gay porn is comprised of varied fans, most gay porn fans are gay men. In that same mindset, most gay men would rather view gay porn than straight porn. Most straight men want to watch heterosexual porn. The two markets very rarely overlap, at least when it comes to male on male porn.

Naturally, there are exceptions. There are lots of women that like to view gay male porn. Some gals are just there for the beefcake. Let's not forget that wacky lesbian category. Sure, the lesbians like it but millions of straight men think lesbian porn is a-okay. To add to the mix, there are many gay men that enjoy seeing a little straight porn. If you want to get even more anal about it, we could insert the straight guys that are fascinated and excited by chicks with dicks.

No wonder the gay word is confusing. It's a confusing world and the Internet makes it more complicated. As an adult webmaster, you've probably come to realize that there's not a hole, object or imaginary being that some freak, somewhere doesn't want to fuck. Just the same, you have to pick a niche or category and go with it. You have to promote porn that sells. You're not responsible for explaining the world. You just want to make some cash.

I don't have to tell you this but I will anyway. You can be a gay webmaster without actually being gay. Selling gay porn doesn't make you gay. You should sell gay porn because you know it's a very profitable market. You should sell it because the surfers that buy it are adults who deserve adult entertainment. You sell gay porn because you respect the content providers, models and sponsors that make this porn possible. If you don't like gay porn, don't sell it. If you don't like gay webmasters then you might want to reconsider selling gay porn.

If you're ready to jump into the gay Internet porn market, there's no better way to familiarize yourself with it than by becoming part of the community. No, you don't have to take it up the ass. You just have to act like an adult professional and start networking with other adult professionals that happen to sell gay porn. Who knows better how to sell to gay surfers than those members of gay webmaster message boards? Here are three fine boards to get you started:

    The Gay Board
