Now that I write for Cozy Frog, I don't make as many galleries for my main site as I used to. I still do make galleries and submit them to TGPs because for now, it's still the most economical and effective way for me to market my main website.
Every time a gallery of mine gets listed, it brings thousands and thousands of new visitors to my site. While I don't expect too many sign-ups from TGP traffic, I know that the more visitors to my page I acquire, the more likely I am going to keep the good placement I have on the search engines.

"The primary thing a TGP gallery reviewer looks for is the quality and uniqueness of the images on a particular gallery." |
I personally believe that I get a better quality of customer from the search engine hits than I do from the gallery traffic, but I have made sales from both and I will continue to make and submit galleries as long as I am permitted.
I've learned a bit about how to get listed on a TGP. I've learned a few things about how to convince a surfer to sign up for a membership from my gallery page. In this article, I will share some of my knowledge with you.
The first thing you must consider is what kind of content should you put on your gallery. The primary thing a TGP gallery reviewer looks for is the quality and uniqueness of the images on a particular gallery. Most TGP sites list galleries in various category types. Simply visiting the TGP will give you an idea of what content that TGP likes to list.
For instance, some TGPs like to list mostly high quality images while others prefer their galleries to have an amateurish look. That expensive CD of babe pictures you bought from a content provider might get your galleries listed on Richard's Realm, but a voyeur TGP like the Peek will have none of it. The contents I use for my galleries are made from photographs I took of myself with my crappy, little webcam. I don't waste my time submitting those galleries to AL4A because I know they consider my stuff to be of a lesser quality. I do submit my galleries to the Baker because while, my image quality is not so great, it is mature content and the Baker likes niche content.

The second thing you need to consider is whether or not you want to place reciprocal links to TGPs on your gallery. I usually submit my galleries to those TGPs that accept recip-free or "CLEAN" galleries. Some TGPs would prefer you place a recip on your gallery but will accept galleries without recips, depending on the images in it. Others will absolutely not accept a gallery without the triad of three recips to it and two other TGPs.
The arguably biggest TGP (The Hun) states in his rules that he doesn't care if you place his button on your gallery. He goes on to let you know that if you have recips to other TGPs on your gallery, you had better have his link on there as well.
The next thing to know when building a gallery is what and how many sponsor links you can place on it. TGPs secretly wish that gallery builders would have no links at all on their submissions, but TGP reviewers live in a reality and know this is an impossible wish.
Nevertheless, the majority of them have explicit rules about how many sponsor links you place on your gallery and what form those links take. Most absolutely hate pop-up windows and Java tricks on a gallery page. Most prefer 2-3 sponsor links and some consider free-host headers and footers to be the same as a sponsor link. I advise you place no more than two links on your gallery page. I also suggest you make one of those links a text link.
Graphic banners look cool, but the slow download time and there are statistics that suggest text links are more enticing to the surfer.
There are many other tips I could give you to get you listed but for right now, these three suggestions are good starting places for you.
