So you’ve decided to enter the enormous world of the adult online industry. You’ve thought up some clever domain names, got them all registered...now what? You start hitting the webmaster resource listings looking for the images you want to put on your sites and what do you find? "There are so many content providers...how do I pick one?"

"Don't put all the eye candy shots all out there at once or you'll have leftovers that aren't as appealing to do your updates with." |
Well, the first thing that drives many new webmasters on the type of content they purchase is cost. Although there’s nothing wrong with this thinking at all, you don’t want to end up in a situation where a few extra dollars spent would’ve made all the difference.
One of the easiest things to do is utilize sponsor content. Most of the "premier" sponsors offer free content in exchange for traffic to the main site in hopes of the almighty sign up. However, sometimes the trouble with this is, a lot of this content is already out there on a ton of sites, so what’s going to make your site any different? What’s a surfer do when your images start to load and there are pics he or she has seen on a hundred other sites already? Simple. They move on to another site at the blink of an eye. How do you overcome that obstacle? By having fresh new content to capture your surfers interest long enough to drive them to the sponsors.
New content is produced on a continual basis. Content providers have to keep producing fresh new material or they just can’t stay competitive. So how do you find what you’re looking for among the enormous amount of providers available to you? First thing you need to do is evaluate the "theme" of your site and stock it with images suited to that theme. Whether it’s hardcore, foot fetish, softcore, etc. you want your images to remain in your site theme. In other words, don’t put images of foot fetish stuff on a site named, "blowitinmyface.com".

Content comes in many forms, from amateur to professionally produced, from still image scans to digital movies, and from softcore to hardcore. Content can be sold in downloadable photo sets, CD sets, or you can even choose which image sets you want included on a CD.
Choosing between content providers isn’t as easy as "who’s cheapest". With content, the cheapest or most inexpensive material may not be all it’s cracked up to be. It takes a decent investment on the providers’ part to produce content suitable in quality to sell to the buying public. If content is low-priced, it may be either poor quality visually or perhaps it’s been sold so much that the net is saturated with it.
Whatever the reason, use a little consumer caution here. The more moderately priced content is usually decent in image quality and is fairly new to the market. Premium content is almost always high quality in image resolution and clarity, shot with gorgeous women and men hung to their knees, and is priced fairly high because of this. My point? Invest your content dollars wisely.
Once you’ve found exactly the content you’re looking for, find out a little about the provider. Who else has used them in the past? Have they had any problems fulfilling orders? The time you take to find out some information on your provider of choice, the better off you’ll be. Post a question on some of the resource boards and see what other webmasters know about them. The more established webmasters are an excellent resource of information on a variety of topics, including content providers.
So you’ve chosen a content provider that has the material you’re looking for. Be sure you get the most bang for your content buck. Try and utilize the images you purchased in a way that allows you to update your site every so often. Don’t put all the eye candy shots all out there at once or you’ll have leftovers that aren’t as appealing to do your updates with. Doing this will help you maintain your recurring traffic and help you stretch your content library out over time.
Lastly, establish a business relationship with your content provider of choice. If you intend on being in the adult internet business for the long haul, be sure your content provider will be there along side you. Building a good business relationship with them will be the key to your success and theirs.
