Come this January, there will be a massive adult webmaster event in Las Vegas. Fates willing, I will be there. It's my first time to attend such an event and I am very excited. I am just a poor writer and the expense of such a trip has been the reason that I have not attended a live gathering. This year, I get to go and my excited has already been expressed.

Nothing in life is ever secure. Planes go down. Dot Coms go belly up. Three years ago, I didn't know a thing about this business. Now, I write articles for an adult webmaster resource site and get to pretend I know what I'm doing. This year, a succession of circumstances have culminated in my ability to quit the day job, work at home doing something I cherish and afford to go to a physical webmaster gathering. I refuse to even waste a moment thinking about next year because right now is too good.
But ya know? All these seasons while I was stumbling and learning and asking I drooled at the "convention pics" and the party stories. I saw clearly that business relationships were formed or solidified between those that paid the dough to go. I benefited by proxy from the Las Vegas event last June. How did I survive for all this time without ever going to the big party? One way was the virtual alternative to live events: Events Online.
Safer, less expensive than a big trip, there are places you can go where they give prizes, talk about business, make deals, have fun and play music. Weekly, knowledgeable and important information is released in special reports. Every night of the week someone's feeding an Internet radio show in conjunction with a live chat and if you are an adult Industry professional, you're invited.
Networking and getting to know your peers has been a drum much beaten by me and I'm tired of bringing it up. Online live events are a great, happy medium between static message boards and liquor soaked, credit card sucking conventions. Those wonderful bits of gold that give you the insight into the most inner workings of "the biz" can be found at special places and here is the list:
