Okay, we all know that you can't really "break" the rules at most link sites and get away with it. Most link sites have certain requirements they ask of webmasters in order to be listed, and if your site doesn't meet those requirements, you can forget a listing! But there are ways of getting around the requirements without jeopardizing sales.

Let's say that the links list you are trying to get listed on does not allow more than two ads per page. This means that you can only have one banner and one text link on each gallery page right? Well, not quite. This is where it is time to get a little creative.
Try placing one ad above your thumbnail gallery, or in the middle row, your choice, then place a table 4 or 5 columns wide at the bottom of your gallery. In this table you can add links to 4-5 other sponsor sites. This is called a money bar, and most link site operators will count this as one ad as long as the table is about the same width as your gallery and the text is no larger than normal size. No +3 fonts here! Remember, we're trying to bend the rules, not break them. We don't want to get banned! Technically since it's one table, it can be considered one ad. This will not hold true for every link site webmaster, but some will allow it.

Nice, professional layout, maybe a graphical enter button and a nice graphic title, a sexy background image... just something to add some spice to your site, to make it stand out from others.

You can say much more with a nicely laid-out table ad than will fit on a banner, although be careful not to put too much text! Putting too much text will confuse and annoy a horny surfer. You want just enough text to make the surfer interested without boring him to death. Two to three lines in a +3 font size is plenty, plus a catch text link to your sponsor, but make sure it's not a blind link that will trick the surfer into thinking he is getting something that he isn't!

This is beneficial because a lot of people will click an ad to go to a site if they believe you are recommending the site to them because you like it personally, but will NOT click it if they think you are getting paid for it.
Be aware that these tips will not apply to all link site webmasters, some may still not allow these tactics. This article is just a way for you to understand that by being creative and making your site stand out from the rest, you have a chance at getting away with things that you otherwise might not realize you could.
