One major mistake I see a great many webmasters making is the use of hardcore content on their free sites which are meant to make sales. This is absolutely something that should never, ever, ever be done!

"If a surfer gets off on your site, there is no way he is going to keep surfing for more porn, especially not porn that he has to pay for." |
Using hardcore material where it can be viewed by children is virtual suicide in the business. If you use this type of material you are just asking for trouble.
Secondly, using hardcore content will severely limit your sales for several reasons. When surfers see that they can get all the hardcore content they want for free, they see no reason to sign up for your sponsors. "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?" is the slogan typically applied here. If a person thinks they can get something for free, there is no way that they are going to pay for it. It just wouldn't make sense!
Using softcore content can allow you to tease a surfer, to make them hungry for more. If a surfer gets off on your site, there is no way he is going to keep surfing for more porn, especially not porn that he has to pay for. Your job as a webmaster is to make the surfer so hot and so horny that he needs immediate release. But NOT to get him hot enough that he's able to climax. Once that surfer reaches orgasm, he's lost. The sale is lost. You want to avoid that!
Online porn has been increasingly tough to sell, and ratios seem to be decreasing for many webmasters on a steady basis. The more webmasters that enter the business, the more free porn there is available. The more free porn there is available, the more likely it is that a surfer will get his thrill before you have a chance to sell him on your sponsor.
There are so many webmasters out there putting hardcore up on their free sites, that almost any surfer knows that there is an abundance of free XXX stuff out there and he just doesn't see a reason to pay for it. Sure, you can sell a surfer on the 110,000 videos and 52 live sex shows a sponsor has, but if he's already made it to third base by then, he's not going to care.

So, you may ask, how am I supposed to make my little softcore site compete with all the free hardcore? How am I supposed to attract visitors to my site without giving away hardcore? How can I sell a cumshot sponsor if I can't use cumshot pictures?
Well, that's easy enough. Every site should have a money bar. A money bar is a table, usually about 5 cells wide and 3 cells high, that has links to a variety of different sponsors. A great many webmasters have mentioned that well over 50% of their sales come from their money bars, to sites that they don't even have content for.
For example, one webmaster who does BBW sites once posted to a message board that most of his sales on his BBW sites were to the sponsors in his money bar, usually gay and mature sites, I believe he said. So this same principle could apply to softcore sites.
Here's the method. You simply make a site featuring 20 or so nice softcore pictures. Add some very horny text meant to get the surfer hot and bothered. Mention how great it would be to see a model like the one you are using doing some amazing hardcore cumshot scenes or anal sex scenes. Mention that pictures like this can be seen at your sponsor, and link to it.
Then, make your money bar with a variety of fetishes from cumshots to group sex to bondage to feet. Give the surfer a choice and it's more likely that you will make a sale. The point is to get the surfer hot, without giving him a free 'gasm!
Using this method allows you to sell a hardcore sponsor with softcore content. You can talk all you want about the hardcore features that your sponsor has, but just make sure that your content is completely softcore, and so are your banners. Even banners are considered part of your site, and using sponsor banners that containg hardcore is the same as using hardcore pictures. You are liable for anything that is on your site.
Remember, softcore is always better on free sites. Not only do you have the chance of increasing sales by leaps and bounds, but you can also avoid any problems down the line.
