    Adult Resources & Responsibility!

    By Titmowse | Writer @ CozyFrog | SEP.11.2002
The Houston Astros paid Enron 2.1 million dollars to extricate the corporation's name from the front of their ballpark. In the beginning, Enron agreed to pay the Astros 100 million dollars over a period of thirty years so they could fly their proud company logo on the home of Houston's beloved team. The Astros are still searching for a new corporate sponsor for their ballpark and will open their season without one on April 2.

"We cannot repay any losses you may suffer from a dishonest player but we can make sure that player never plays again."
In case you aren't aware, Enron is/was an American Über business that recently went bankrupt and left a horrific and incredulous mess in the wake of their demise. What makes the death of Enron so newsworthy was their supposedly profitable appearance to stock analysts and those in the know. Nobody thought Enron would fly into the fire and even now, the details of their efforts to conceal their misdeeds are still unfolding.

The Enron debacle has shaken not just our faith in big business, but our faith in those who analyze it. How could they not know the company was going down the toilet? Were bribes traded for favorable reports? How can we trust any opinion that comes from these market gurus when they were so wrong about Enron?

The fact that Enron may turn out to be the most corrupt organization of shysters ever is not so surprising to people. What makes the Enron story grab as many headlines as possible these days was that they fooled so many supposedly infallible specialists.

Adult webmaster resource sites are by no means stock market analysts, but we are somewhat the beacons that locate the hosts, sponsors and tools that online porn relies upon.

We take very earnestly the fact that many adult Internet professionals look to us for our recommendations. We know there are disreputable enterprises out there that pass themselves off as legitimate services. We punish those who are disreputable by omitting them from our listings and we personally review the sites of new submissions. We provide a much-needed service to our fellow adult Industry peers and are more than happy to do so.

Just the same, every once in a while we list a resource that turns out to be less than estimable. It happened just a couple of weeks ago. Turns out some clever child stole a bunch of content, built a turnkey content provider site, sold it to some unknowing schmuck who then promoted it honestly by submitting it to several resource sites who then listed it. Those wacky cheaters always up to some mischief!

Of course the site was shut down within weeks of its launch and the resources that listed it removed the baneful web page. Yet, even though the offending link was eradicated from listings in a timely fashion, there was some criticism towards the adult webmaster resource sites that displayed it. This is where the Enron analogy comes in.

Because someone else lied and cheated, those that appeared to endorse them looked bad by association. That's the evil of trying to go about things in a dishonest fashion, innocents always suffer as a result.

I won't whine on and on about massive databases of links and text and deadlines. We all know that running a network of websites is intensive, continual work. There's never enough time or manpower to ever get it all completely done, especially if you update daily like we do.

Sure we have robots to look for dead links. We read and answer emails from those who question or complain. We track web boards to interpret new trends. We open our email to those wishing to get some of the best advertising available to the adult resource provider: a listing on a central location where their target market will be sure to visit. We never forget that what we provide is a service and an honor.

To list an erroneous company or product (even unintentionally) is serious business for us. We pride ourselves on contributing reliable tools and information to make the adult Internet professional's life a little bit easier to manage and understand.

If ever you find a link or review of an adult resource on our site that is out of date, dead or of dubious nature, we ask that you please notify us immediately so we can correct the problem. We may be automated and our performance enhanced with the aid of technology but we are still capable of human error. We cannot repay any losses you may suffer from a dishonest player but we can make sure that player never plays again.

Almost every day it seems like a new adult host, sponsor or service pops up to announce to the world they have something porn professionals want. An adult webmaster resource site has a duty to list and update their listings of categorized links to the pages adult webmasters need the most. If (on the rare occasion) we list a site that turns out to be less than above board, we apologize and promise to increase our vigilance.

We are an adult webmaster resource oasis in the middle of a vast and ever-changing frontier. We will be there for you in the future. We are here for you now.

If you stumbled on this article by accident, then you are one lucky bastard. If you came here because you knew there was such a thing as adult webmaster resource sites, then you are far ahead of the hundreds of thousands who jump on the porn bandwagon without a clue. If you came here because you were looking for a trusted supply of information and tools to help you be successful in your endeavors, then we welcome you and will do our best to serve you.

Adult webmaster resource sites are the best places to learn about the ways and means to a profitable end. When researching a listing on our pages, we welcome you to challenge us with your opinions on our catalogue of websites. We are glad when you take the time to let us know if we are fallible.

We welcome your feedback. We want only to give you what you need. If (on occasion) we make an Enron mistake, we are more than willing to correct it. Never forget that your adult webmaster resource page serves you and your welfare.
