After attending the InterNext Expo this summer, and mulling over new ideas during the traditional summer slowdown, I have found several new niches on the up and coming that can help generate new interest in the market and encourage new subscribers.
Like in any industry, trends that rule the market change and cycle over time. Some of the new trends in the adult entertainment industry have been disturbingly risky to promote depending on where you live, such as online gaming, content like Bang Bus, Bang Bum, Bum Fighting, Death and macabre and other forms of extreme content. Not everything has be shocking to draw attention, so I have created a small list of some new niches that are just dying to be exploited.
Girls with freckles are often associated with being "naturally beautiful" but not every woman with freckles is an amateur or the girl next door. In glamour shoots freckles are often airbrushed out (especially the face) or covered up. Many men like women with freckles and few content providers offer this niche type of content in specific categories.

As the trend of Barbie plastic fake looking women fazes out, this is a new niche that may begin to surface over the next year. Most men, and as more women continue to surf porn, are looking for the type of women that they feel they can relate to. This does not always mean 100% perfection, as beauty is often in the eye of the beholder, many people are attracted to people they can see themselves with, who may have similar physical characteristics or “looks like” someone they may know or have sexual feelings for.
Need ideas for a domain name? Freckle fetish is very real for some people; freckle faces, Irish impulses, and other creative innovations on this niche are a wide open door so use your imagination! Start with an AVS or soft core TGP page, and this should go without saying, protect anything “too explicit for TV” type of content behind a disclaimer or age protection verifier to keep kids out.
Why is there a summer slowdown? Well for one, men who mainly use the net to check sports stats and headlines do so during football and basketball season in the US. Also consider that the bulk of college guys are on the Net when school is in session. I have also noticed that anything related to muscle girls, voyeur gym, working out naked, and athletic male and female type of adult content is in high demand.
Girls who play college sports are athletic, in many cases very sexy, high energy, and physically fit; not the tender, love me gentle type of girls. Niche it out - college gymnasts, volleyball, track and field (pole vaulting in skirts LOL), tennis, and even bowling can be erotic if content providers take the initiative to make it voyeur in appearance and legal and erotic in the same sense. Take advantage of your models’ hobbies! Yoga, swimming, whatever – she may even feel more comfortable. This can also be advantageous in profiles to personify your featured models or content so the user can relate to and fantasize about.
Once the school and football and college sports season kicks in, there could be an amazing potential to make money here. Do some research, be creative in your marketing, and don’t wait till February to start your site! Get in early if you feel the possibilities are worth your while.
Glass (Pyrex) sex toys seem to be on the up and up simply because it is quite a new perspective for most men. Featured at a booth at InterNext and with retail sites opening up more and more revenue streams for adult webmasters, I do not believe that actually buying these very expensive products is the only money to be made in this new niche. Besides, not every sexual partner feels comfortable inserting glass into their body.
Plain and simple, most men have a fascination with women’s bodies. They rarely get a “peek inside”. Glass sex toys are erotic in the fact that they offers a new insight (no pun intended) to see a bit more of their sexual partners that they may have never seen before. The same is true for men and their favorite models or amateur web girls. Not just another idea for content producers, but for marketers as well, your audience can “see more than they have ever seen before”. Not sure if any of these products have lights built inside but you can get creative with a flashlight, for sure. Taking the initiative and offering something NEW on your banners, home or tour pages can have some positive impacts on conversion rates.
I had a chance to actually try this out at a streaming 3D video provider’s booth at InterNext. All I have to say is I saw farther inside a woman’s body that I personally would care to see, haha. Being a woman in this industry in 4+ years, I can recognize potential when I see it. If you can get these 3D glasses to your members (actually a good thing when identifying fraudulent subscriptions by having to ship them something that, physically the glasses themselves, are not illegal anywhere in the world) you not only have a confirmed paying subscriber, you have a member who knows where to find something they have never seen before.
Think of how many guys will want to show their friends this new type of technology, men love that stuff! Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to see any erections in 3D but I bet it’s pretty awesome for the ladies or gay audience! I’ll have to ask for another demo and let you know!
Get the Spanking Cranking
Basically, I think the same old same old just isn’t going to fly anymore and the opportunities to generate new interest in the adult internet entertainment industry are numerous. Most webmasters wonder how to test a new niche with a sponsor to see if it’s going to fly, or if it’s even worth creating a new site based on something relatively untested. If it is a site run by a sponsor program I suggest sending about 3,000 hits to see if it will convert with the traffic you have. But think about the drawbacks of waiting this long…
By the time the sponsor programs have the new niches and sites out to promote, or content providers have the archives available for purchase, 10-30,000 other webmasters have the same chance to offer those sites as well. Saturation will inevitably occur if it is successful, so get in early. Go out on a limb! Request custom shoots when buying content! Timing can be everything when it comes to the difference between making a little and making a lot in the adult and other industries.
