C-Pimp: Appreciate you taking the time to do this interview. How are you doing?
Brian: Just fine, I had breakfast this morning so life is good.
C-Pimp: I can't remember the last time I had breakfast! Can you give us the scoop on TotemCash? What does it have to offer webmasters?
Brian: TotemCash is the cash program for webmasters who promote VirtuaGirl.com, StripSaver.com, VirtuaGay.com, MP3Dancer.com, VIPRoom.com etc.
Our products are the first online innovation which allows surfers to have real-life strippers on their computer desktops. The unique nature of the products and the fact that we're the only ones in the industry who can do this, gives us a good strategic advantage in the market. These products are unique by nature, so they don't cannibalize other deals that are working well for a webmaster. Because they're unique, they add to a webmaster's revenue instead of taking away from it by being competitive.

It's a win-win situation for webmasters as they have nothing to loose in promoting our products. At TotemCash we offer a 50% recurring partnership to webmasters or flat rate payouts, whichever they prefer. We also have a “
refer a friend” program by which webmasters can earn 5% of the revenue made by the person they referred to us.
Some people say to me: “but 50% isn't much compared to what some cash programs are offering these days!”. I tell them to read the small print! With TotemCash there are no scams, we NEVER shave, shaf or however people are spelling it these days! We run a trustworthy, profitable program without the bullshit.
C-Pimp: Good to know that you guys are firm on being straight up. Can you tell our readers a little bit about yourself, how you first got your first break in this industry?
Brian: Funnily enough I got into this industry by pure accident. I didn't find it, it found me; a king of calling (hehe). I was working for a New Media company in the Alps before and decided I wanted to move to Paris. I liked the look of the job profile I saw advertised one day in a mainstream magazine. But it didn't say ye know “looking for marketing dude for Mega European Porn player”. We're located in Europe, so there's no point in really advertising in adult online industry magazines as they cater principally for folks in the US or Canada.
C-Pimp: Wanna talk a bit about your crew. How many heads do you guys have working on a day to day basis to keep your business ticking and what role do you play with your company?
Brian: Today TotemCash is a team of 22 professionals, working everyday to bring webmasters and surfers alike the best possible products, sites and services. I'm in charge of all that is external communication: Editorial, Press related, resource site advertising, company image, translation etc.
C-Pimp: Let's not forget doing pimpin Cozy interviews! :-) Do you offer any perks to webmasters that deliver huge numbers and can you tell us a bit about your free membership offer?
Brian: For our best performing webmasters, and I mean the big boys; we sometimes offer an increase in their payout percentage, making it much more interesting for them. And yes, as you say, for all our webmasters, we offer free membership for life after just one sale.
C-Pimp: What type of tools do you offer your webmasters to help them promote your unique products?
Brian: Our aim is to make TotemCash the ultimate cash portal. A dynamic toolkit packed full of the latest promotional tools for webmasters. So it's getting better literally day by day. We've got everything from small, medium and full page gif and flash banners, together with hosted zip galleries of the hottest girls. And our linking and billing systems have been simplified to make the life of the webmaster a lot easier. We also make sure that our news and press areas are full of interesting and useful advice articles and press releases for our webmasters.
C-Pimp: What's the best thing about being a TotemCash webmaster?
Brian: Offering products which are different, fun and capable of instilling loyalty among users means that we're doing something here that most adult content and sites could never do. The goal of any company is to instill loyalty among users through their products and brand names. With VirtuaGirl we have one of the strongest and most recognized brand names in the industry. There are even fan sites on the net dedicated to VirtuaGirl! People become collectors and become obsessed with having all the different versions of the software and the different girls. This is like an online version of Barbie, but NOT for kids!
C-Pimp: I also noticed you guys now have a couple of pay sites in your arsenal. Do you guys plan to expand in that area with more tours in the near future or do you plan on introducing new specialty products like VirtuaGirl and StripSaver? Or a Bit of Both?
Brian: A bit of both I would say. While all our sites are basically pay sites, we do certainly plan to expand our collection of “classic” pay sites for the hardcore section of our members area. In relation to our specialty products, we'll be launching VirtuaGirl 2, a “
Bigger , Better and Sexier than ever” version in a couple of weeks.
C-Pimp: Which one of your sites seems to fair extremely well with webmasters? Which one of your sites delivers the highest conversions?
Brian: I'd have to say that VirtuaGirl is our 'star” product. It's uniqueness works well for webmasters and converts really well. It always depends on the traffic, but conversions are often as good as 1/150, but on average it's about 1/450. The thing to keep in mind is that VirtuaGirl has been around since late 1998, there aren't too many sites that can prove that kind of 'staying power'. And now with the release of VirtuaGirl 2, things will only get better for webmasters.
C-Pimp: I am getting eager to see this new VirtuaGirl 2, I can tell ya that much! On a personal note, what do you love and hate most about this industry?
Brian: Well I think there's more or less one reason why I both love and hate this wonderful industry of ours at times. It's the fact that everybody can more or less basically do whatever they want! That obviously has it's advantages and disadvantages. But in general, the fact that the industry is so competitive means it's dynamic and fast moving. I find it exciting to work in such an eternally evolving community. One that has thousand of new neighbors, both partners and customers, every day.
C-Pimp: Our cozy readers love advice from experience peeps. What kind of advice do you have for new webmasters on the come up?
Brian: I think the main thing they should keep in mind is to keep it simple. Concentrate at what you're good at and work from there. Get on the chatboards to meet a maximum amount of people and don't be afraid to ask questions. Visit webmaster resource sites such as Cozy Frog at least once every two to three days and keep up to date on news, events and industry developments. Be bold but use caution. Make sure you're well referenced and make sure to shop around for services such as hosting and content if you don't do that yourself.
C-Pimp: Before we close up, can you give me...uh...I mean our readers a little more insight on the upcoming VirtuaGirl 2 along with anything else we can expect from TotemCash in the near future?
Brian: Well the launch of VirtuaGirl 2 will be the biggest event for us in 2003. The girls are much bigger, the resolution is better and they're sexier than ever! Also in a couple of weeks we'll have the all new version of our TotemCash.com site online. So webmasters should really keep an eye out for those events by checking out our latest press releases here on Cozy Frog!
