    Live Video is Go!
    By Titmowse | Writer @ CozyFrog | APR.25.2008

In a July 2007 report from Pew Internet, 57% of US surfers have watched video online. I don't know about you but to me, that number sounds kind of low. The 57% figure sounds low because it is misleading. The statistic combines users on both dial up and broadband connections. As dial up customers know, video is just not an option. Reading further into the report by Mary Madden, we find a statistic that makes more sense in today's YouTube culture. 74% of people with broadband access (work and home) have watched online video. Remove the work element and 66% watch it from home.

Another Pew study, released this last September, tells us that finally, 50% of American subscribers have broadband access. Mind you, that is 50% with home access. Pew cites the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) for this claim.

"There are content suppliers who lease live video feeds, appealing to numerous niches. There are chat cams, voyeur cams, live sex shows, even scripted programming for members and potential members."
As adult webmasters, we most definitely want to reach people while they are in the privacy of their own homes. We want to reach them with the content they are looking for. They're looking for video, live video. Broadband access has at last, reached a saturation point, where the use of live video is accepted as probable for both users and providers. No more finicky downloads. No more freezing surfer's PCs. No more choppy play. The Internet public at last is able to watch video over the net as it is happening. This can be credited to new model personal computers, but mostly it is because of broadband connectivity. The question is longer when or why. The question is how?

How can you get in on this wave crashing into the future? It's not hard. Internet pornographers have been supplying live video content for more than a decade. Live adult video has been on the scene since the 1990's. Surfers were chatting up camgirls back when almost everyone connected through dial up modems. Adult webmasters have been promoting sponsors that offer live video for just as long a time.

There are content suppliers who lease live video feeds, appealing to numerous niches. There are chat cams, voyeur cams, live sex shows, even scripted programming for members and potential members. Unless things go horrible wrong, broadband speed will increase. Our PCs and mobile devices will connect faster. The compression technology will advance. The days when we open a page and watch live motion action as if it were television are here. The chance for you to bring the slackers along is here.

Below are adult sponsors that specialize in live video content;

IMLive
(http://affiliate.imlive.com)
IMLive is all about the video chat and has been for a long time. Camgirls galore. IMLive provides the content by paying chat models to be hosts. The chat models have their own webcams and stream video through IMLive servers to the surfers. Their affiliate programs reward webmasters as sales advance. Marketing tools include landing pages, banners and geo-targeted ads.

Webcams.com
(http://www.webcams.com/affiliate)
The names says it all and it's all in the name. $42 per trial membership. $25 for each free lifetime membership. Free content from thousands of images and video clips. RSS feeds. IFrame banners. Models are able to block access in their area, making Webcams.com a safe haven for adult talent.

Pornication
(http://gammae.com/pornication)
With a new affiliate program, this well-known live chat company brings a solid reputation and plenty of webmaster treats. Dynamic banners, co-branding, up to 40% revshare, up to $105 per signup. 700 active models. Pornication is in the live video top drawer.

Video Secrets
(http://www.videosecrets.com)
Video Secrets have been in the business of providing live, video sex chat since 1996. Some of the biggest names in porn have feeds associated with this venerable sponsor. In addition, they produce the much touted Flirt-4-Free program. The affiliate marketing tools are excellent and include free-hosted galleries, screen grabs and premium fees for high-performing marketers.

Naturally, you'll want to check out the Sponsor Listings on Cozy Frog to see more companies serving up live video. If you're looking to open your own paysite and are shopping for plugins and lease feeds, check out our Content Listings. If you want to create your own live video, consider signing up as a model/host for one of the sponsors mentioned above. Some also have special payout programs for adult studios.

Live video on the web is already a go. It's already happening and it will happen more so in the years to come. The surfers have the technology. The networks can handle the bandwidth. The providers and sponsors are experienced and on top of the trends. The game is on. It's time to play.
