    TGP - Be Preferred!
    By Titmowse | Writer @ CozyFrog | MAY.22.2004

"If you want to stand out, preferred submitter status is a great way to get your foot in the door."
The TGP business is alive and well but things are changing. The porn game is good and there’s still money to be made through gallery submission. What’s changing is that TGP operators are getting tired of sifting through hundreds of galleries submitted by strangers. They’re sick of free email addresses and cheaters who change the gallery after it’s listed. TGP webmasters want you to sign up for a preferred submitter account.

Nobody says you have to be a preferred submitter. There are plenty of TGP sites that still take galleries from new submitters but it’s almost impossible to receive a good listing that way.

You have to keep in mind that just a couple of years ago you could count the number of TGP sites on your fingers and toes. Nowadays you’d have to count the digits of your whole family plus your neighbors to get anywhere near the number of TGP sites there are online today. There’s a buttload of TGP sites as well as quadruple buttloads of gallery making webmasters trying to get a piece of the thumbnail action. The TGP business is more competitive than ever and you need to take that extra step in order to get ahead.

What is a Preferred Submitter?

A preferred submitter is an adult webmaster who signs up for such an account with a particular TGP. If accepted, the webmaster receives priority over basic submitters. That may not sound like much but it is if you consider that most TGP webmasters delete hundreds of submissions every single day of the week. You have to understand that the more established TGPs have trusted webmasters who’ve been submitting for years. The TGP has plenty of familiar, trustworthy galleries to choose from. If you want to stand out, preferred submitter status is a great way to get your foot in the door.

What happens when you sign up for preferred submission status? Don’t expect magic. Don’t count on guarantees. The TGP operator might not accept you as a preferred submitter. If they do accept you, you might not necessarily be listed each and every time you submit. You still have to make galleries that follow the rules. You still have to create something worth listing. If you make good galleries but you’re new, you shouldn’t expect super special placement. Initially, you might average 1000 hits from one gallery on one TGP. Yet if you have preferred accounts with ten different TGPs and you make/submit a new gallery to each of them that adds up to 10,000 hits in one day. As you continue and prove your worth you’ll be placed higher and your hits will increase.

Be aware that you probably won’t receive a top spot as a preferred submitter. Most TGP owners sell their top spots for money. Realistically, your gallery will be placed no higher than the number ten spot from the top and that’s only if it’s very good. It’s up to the individual TGP operator ultimately.

Now before you go and get all pissed off at TGP webmasters for their rules and regulations, think. A preferred submitter account is completely free. If you were in the real world, do you honestly think you could walk into the mall, set up a table and your wares and start selling away? Of course not. In real life you have to rent or lease your space. In real life you have to pay for licenses and zoning permits. In real life you have to pay for utilities and insurance. TGP webmasters let you open shop and it doesn’t cost you a dime.

A preferred submitter account is exactly what the name implies. You receive preferential consideration over basic submitters. You get a chance to build a long-term relationship with TGP sites. You can stop wasting your time submitting in a non-productive fashion. You optimize your moneymaking potential.

TGPs Are Changing.

There are quite a few Thumbnail Gallery Posts that don’t take basic submissions anymore. Some of them are closing the door to free submitters completely.

To find out if your favorite TGP offers a preferred submitter account take a look on its webmaster/submit page. There you’ll find out how to apply and what rules you’ll need to follow in order to be accepted. Some will have you fill in a form. Others want you to send them an email request.

If you want to make money with thumbnail galleries, I highly advise you to apply for a preferred account with as many TGPs as you possibly can. If you get accepted, get to work, follow the rules of each and submit as often as is allowed.
