    The Word on Adwords!
    By Titmowse | Writer @ CozyFrog | DEC.10.2004

Search engines are like Voltaire’s God. If there were no SEs, it would be necessary to invent them.

While it’s hard to imagine a world without the web, it’s harder to imagine a web without search engines. Today even your great granny knows she needs to go to Yahoo or Google the first time she gets on the net. A search engine is like a mini space-pod that will take us to untold places with the push of a button. We submit words and phrases and in return we procure instant results.

"Adult webmasters like search engine traffic because SE visitors are the cyber equivalent of walk-in customers."
Surfers use search engines because they work. Surfers like search engines because utilizing one is a voluntary process. Surfers prefer to find sites via SE because they can control their search.

Adult webmasters like search engine traffic because SE visitors are the cyber equivalent of walk-in customers. People who come to your site from a search engine are there because you have what they want. SE surfers are on your page willingly and if you’re a good salesman, all you need is to get them in the door.

Unhappily, there are more web sites on the Internet than there are people in this world. Topping search engine results the old-fashioned way is almost impossible for the non-guru. All the relative keywords and search terms were taken long ago. Tens of thousands of other adult sites use words like, porn, pics, sex, hardcore, anal, gangbang, coed, nude, fucking, etc in their META tags. Some came before you and others will come after. You have to fight for your SE audience and you need every advantage you can get.

What better advantage could there be in the world of marketing than direct target advertising? You want SE surfers? Buy ads on a search engine. You want great bang for your SE advertising buck? Try Google Adwords.

Here’s how Google Adwords work for the surfer:

1. Go to Google.com and type ‘couple sex’ into the search field you and click the submit button.

2. From the results you discover that there are over 6,500,000 documents relating to that two-keyword phrase. The top listed results are debatably pertinent to the actual term you typed in.

3. Now look at the Sponsored links located on the top right side of that result page. You probably glanced at them first anyway. Those text ads there because webmasters paid Google Adwords to place them there.

4. Any time a Google surfer types the phrase ‘couple sex’ into the search field, he/she will see those Adwords text ads displayed to the right at the top of the results page. Not only that, but those Adwords ads will appear on the second page, third page and so on.

Here’s how Google Adwords work for the advertiser:

1. Choose the Language of your desired patrons.

2. Select the country or countries you want for your web audience.

3. Supply three lines of ad text and the URL you want the surfer to go to when they click your link.

4. Choose the keywords/phrases you want surfers to type/submit in order to see your ad. Click the submit button and you’ll get a result page where you can choose the maximum fee you’ll pay per click. This number can range between $.05-$50.00 per click. Then click the button that says “Calculate”. Submit this figure.

5. You then see a result page where you’ll set the total cost you’re willing to pay per day.

6. After you’re done with these steps, you fill out the contact information form, your payment method, pay your $5.00 activation fee and you’re good to go!

With Google Adwords you set the prices and you pay exactly what you want to pay. Google only charges you when a surfer clicks your ad. Your ad will appear higher in the Adwords column if you pay more per click than others do in the keyword group. Even if you’re a low bidder, your ad still appears in the column and you get to decide the limit on daily click charges.

If you set up the program so that you pay $.05 per click with a limit of $2.00 per day, your site could receive forty Google hits a day for 31 days for only $62.00 a month. In addition, you’re getting Google eye traffic for free! The more surfers that see your Adwords ad, the more you strengthen your brand!

Give the Google Adwords program a look. Go to: https://adwords.google.com. You can test the signup/click calculation process without having to pay any money by backing out once you get to step six mentioned above. Read their Terms Of Service and see if this is your path to search engine gold!
