Know exactly what type of adult site you have before you submit because categorization is key to proper search engine submission. Use META TAGS with a good amount of relative keywords and phrases and don't forget to put your site name in your TITLE tag. You should try to add your site to as many search engines (especially the adult ones) as possible but definitely submit to the top ones such as Google, AllTheWeb and DMOZ. Hand submission is best but awfully time consuming. Auto submission software is very effective but many search engines don't like auto-submits and will delete URLs from them.
We at Cozy Academy advise against services that ask a fee for search engine submission as most of them simply use the software you are free to purchase on your own. Link Trades and Banner Exchanges
Link trades and banner exchanges can be formal contracts with sites that furnish such assistance. They can also be personal agreements between you and other free adult site owners. You could apply the button or banner of a friend's somewhat busier site to your front page and they would in turn apply yours to theirs. You could have a more businesslike agreement where they will add your URL to a small list they have of similar webmaster's sites on their main page. They'll keep track of how much traffic their reciprocal link on your main page sends to them and list you numbered up or down accordingly. This is how official banner/link exchange services work.
The link exchange will add you to their site as you will add them you yours and your site will acquire traffic from this listing. The banner exchange service puts your pre-made ad banner on other member's pages and brings traffic to through that banner. You in turn, apply their code to your page so you advertise their member's pages in a rotating system.
